My client is committed to leading the energy sector in sustainability. They partner with corporations, governments and municipalities around the world to address the transformations necessary to reduce their carbon footprint on their Net Zero journey.

They are seeking an experience Energy Procurement Executive to the procurement function.
- Ensuring that trade confirmations are properly entered into the appropriate trading systems deal capture systems.
- Produce concise market analysis, market insights notes, reports and commentary on market conditions.
- To monitor and analyse the performance of flexible products to identify and take advantage of opportunities to maximise profitable growth.
- Be responsible for delivery of analytics within the company including non-commodity costs, power purchase agreements, sleeving options and other products
- Provide energy procurement consulting services to each assigned client; including, but not limited to: RFP development, market assessment, risk management, strategy development, contract negotiation, contract management, and product management
- Develop and implement complex energy procurement and risk management strategies
- Develop strategies that include complex purchasing options, i.e. portfolio approaches, block/index,etc.
- Analysing the wholesale gas and electricity markets

The role requires a flexible approach to delivery as problem solving is a key element to the role. Communication
is a key element so that discussions are held with both suppliers, clients and internal teams to ensure the best
outcome.

**Qualifications or Required Experience**:

- Degree level - Economics, Finance, Maths, Business or engineering
- Project management skills - ability to manage competing client/supplier demands, liaise with energy suppliers and adhere to internal quality standards often to tight deadlines
- A self-starter, who likes to get the job done properly first time
- Five years of energy procurement experience, either buying or selling retail energy
- Experience and expertise in all deregulated energy markets.
- Experience in a client facing role working directly with customers
- Ability to build and maintain both client and supplier relationships
- Direct experience of electricity or gas fixed and advanced flexible contract negotiation and trading gained either within an energy supply company or in a procurement or consultancy role is essential.
- Advanced knowledge of global markets, with detailed understanding required for global gas and electricity fundamentals, and the impact of oil, coal, carbon, economics, equities and geo-political drivers
- Experience in complex data analytics including energy related pricing and market modelling
