We are working with a specialist independent provision based in **Ashington (NE63 8NE)** which supports young learners from exclusion or who are disenaged from mainstream schools. They are seeking a **part time SEN Teacher** to work with a group of **post 16 students** to help further their learning. You will be required to work a **Tuesday**, **Wednesday** and**Friday.**

**Roles and responsibities: **
- Supporting the pupils in their education through the national curriculum and individual learning plans
- Teaching and managing the behaviour of 5- 10 pupils
- Attending EHCP reviews
- Working with a team of teaching assistants and managing their time
- Planning and delivering creative and innovative lessons
- Using formative and summative assessment
- Promoting independence with life skills
- Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

**Requirements**:

- PGCE with QTS
- Health and Social Care or Hair and Beauty qualification
- Teaching experience
- Experience working within an SEN school
- Able to work with Post 16 students
- Confident, supportive, passionate and patient

The role is due to commence immediately and will be required until the end of the academic year, with the potential of being extended. Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, startingfrom **£143.59 per day.**

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
