You will be expected to provide cover across the Trust acting as the first point of contact for bereaved relatives to support and guide them through the legal processes following a death.

This post requires you to have the ability to engage sensitively, both in person and on the telephone with bereaved relatives concerning causes of death, documentation, registration, post mortems and any problems and concerns that may arise as a result of the death. This includes signposting to other internal/external stakeholders and agencies.

You will also be expected to have the ability to engage tactfully but clearly with internal colleagues, including Consultants and other clinicians to foster a reciprocal relationship to obtain legal documentation in a timely fashion.
