**People Advisor**

**Salary**: £39450 - Negotiable

**Purpose of the Role**
- The People Advisor will be responsible for providing support and guidances on all people matters to employees and management. They will act as a trusted advisor to help align People strategy with business objectives, create and implement policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and support the People team in the delivery of efficient, pragmatic and business-focused solutions to the organisation._

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain excellent and effective working relationships with stakeholders across one or more business areas, acting as a first point of contact for queries and by providing credible and quality HR advice
- Effectively manage ER casework in a proactive and commercial focused manner
- Manage a broad and varied case load including but not limited to disciplinary, grievance, investigations, absence management, family friendly leave and performance management, identifying high risks to the People Partner
- Work alongside the People Partner on large change programmes including redundancy and restructuring
- Advise, coach and support the management teams to ensure HR best practice is developed and applied consistently to minimise risk and litigation and to ensure compliance with legislation
- Ensure managers are upskilled to deal with people in a fair and effective manner to promote self-resolution
- Support the People Partner with the job evaluation process and manage the library of AirTanker role profiles, ensuring documents are up to date, completed in the correct format and stored appropriately
- Monitor and analyse People data and reporting to guide the business and People Partners on trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for change
- Deliver training and development activities to employees and managers as required
- Support with the creation, review and communication of policies and procedures, training employees in their use
- Overseeing the key stages of the employee lifecycle to ensure the experience of our people is positive from the outset and throughout their AirTanker career
- Keep up to date with changes in employment law to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Support the People Coordinator with the management of the HR inbox and HRIS system, ensuring queries and actions are dealt with in a timely, professional and efficient manner
- Lead/support on People projects in collaboration with the wider People team as required

**The Individual**
- Hold or studying towards a Level 5 CIPD qualification
- Strong HR generalist background, ideally working at the People Advisor level
- Significant experience in managing employee relations issues
- Be accustomed to working in a challenging fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to work
- Self-motivated and self-aware with a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight time constraints
- An up to date and general working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience in leading projects and implementing new initiatives
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business
