Within the Capital, and beneath the spectacular backdrop of Arthur’s Seat, you will find one of Scotland’s most outstanding parkland courses. Situated within minutes of Edinburgh’s busy city centre this tranquil setting has been home to Duddingston Golf Club since 1895 - a course with rich history and known for its challenging design and sweeping fairways. Set in delightful surroundings, the Braid Burn is a key feature, which meanders throughout the course, coming into play on no fewer than 14 of the 18 holes, always sitting in wait to grab that errant shot

Any successful applicant must have their own transport and be willing to work weekend mornings.

Hours: Based on 37.5 hours per week (including weekends) plus overtime working as required.

**Core Competencies**:

- Be positive, with good time keeping, a hard-working attitude and attention to detail
- Be willing and able to work in an outdoor environment, with the understanding that this will be in all weather conditions
- Possess a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Be able to work as a team as well as on their own
- An interest or basic knowledge of golf would be an advantage, but not essential
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance preferred
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks

**Skills**:

- Grass cutting and strimming using various types of machinery
- Litter & leaf collection
- Minor maintenance of plant and equipment
- Hedge maintenance
- Tree works (woodland maintenance including ground-based chainsaw operations)
- Driving duties as required
- Maintaining individual responsibilities for health and safety awareness and the health and safety of members of the public and fellow employees

**Salary**: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

**Salary**: From £21,000.00 per year
