Production Planner

**Scope of the Role**:
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our business as a Production Planner within our Wales team. Reporting directly to the Senior Production Planner, the role will be responsible for supporting the production planning of the Manufacturing Facility including expediting raw materials from supply base in line with production requirements.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Support the maintenance of an ongoing production plan.
- Create daily plans & communicate to the Manufacturing department ensuring contingencies for unforeseen issues.
- Ensure all materials are expedited in line with the production plan (Just In Time), working closely with Purchasing Department.
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
- Work closely with the Planning Assistant to ensure materials are scheduled for delivery into the warehouse in time for production & in line with warehouse capacities.
- Ensure that any unavoidable changes to the production schedule are communicated to relevant departments.
- Work alongside the Planning Assistant to investigate causes of unplanned production schedule changes.
- Attend regular meetings to communicate production updates to the wider team.
- Ensure planned machine utilisation is in line with Budgeted labour.

- Knowledge & experience of planning tools (e.g. Preactor)
- Experience in dealing directly with Suppliers

Salary Circa 28,000
