Camhs Early Help Service Senior Support Worker
4 days ago
There has never been a better time to join Hampshire CAMHS. We are excited to be a service that has achieved new, significant investment from our commissioners, in recognition of the increasing need there is for support with children’s mental health. It is a reflection of the level of confidence, and trust in a service, that has worked consistently hard and proved a high level of achievement. Hampshire CAMHS is known for its innovation and creativity as well as significant involvement from young people, parents and carers with its on-going development.
We need a suitably experienced person to join the CAMHS Early Help Service in the South East of Hampshire, covering Fareham and Havant as a senior support worker to help expand and develop our stepped model of care for young people, delivering our various anxiety-based groups and emotional coping skills and resilience focused work.
The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit. As a trust we are committed to developing skills and therapeutic interventions and use a wide variety of evidence-based therapy approaches with children and young people. Our service has an excellent track record, and a commitment to robust evidence-based supervision and ongoing training. This is a service that is also focussed on staff support and wellbeing, with team champions leading this work, reporting directly into the leadership team. Training and development opportunities are available, including a New to CAMHS induction programme, in-house training and a commitment to ongoing CPD.
We are a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England and we want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.
Hampshire CAMHS covers the whole county, except for the unitary authorities and is a fabulous place to be based. If you love and enjoy coastline, forest, water sports, arts and culture, vibrant town life, festivals and a close proximity to London, then Hampshire is the place to be for you and family life. We can be flexible with where your office base is, and travel between sites will be paid.
You will support a team of highly skilled clinicians to develop schools mental health forums, workshops, training and other group work interventions. You will work in our clinics and be a part of our single point of access team that triages referrals develops risk and safety plans, and supports external colleagues and families with advice and signposting information and expertise. You will support the collation and analysis of outcome measures and use these to inform future service developments. Experience of risk assessment, care planning and care management and collaborative working with young people and families is a key part of this role, therefore experience of working with young people with mental health challenges is desirable.
