Looking for flexible work opportunities during the months of March - September?

YHA South Downs is looking for a Team Member to join us for the season. With shifts mainly being in the kitchen and Front of House. Contracts between 15 and 35 hours are available. Shifts may include early mornings and late shifts, and will include some weekend working. Experience in cooking in a commercial kitchen is preferred.

YHA South Downs is located in the South Downs National Park, on the A26 between Lewes and Newhaven. We are located right next to Southease train station We are looking for team to join us for the busy summer season. Located in a converted farmhouse, YHA South Downs has 68 beds in the hostel as well as LandPods, Pods and Bell Tents. We host many guests from school groups to individuals walking the South Downs Way. We also have a busy cafe that is open to the public. We are looking for team that are willing to learn and will help out in all aspects of the role - including working in the kitchen, on reception and housekeeping.

**The Role: Your Key Contributions**

As a Hospitality Team Member, you'll play a crucial role in making our guests' experiences memorable. Your efforts will be at the core of our mission to provide exceptional hospitality, regardless of your background or experience.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Providing warm hospitality and great customer service to all our customers, members and guests.
- Working on reception and offering insights about the hostel and the local area, ensuring every guest feels informed and welcomed.
- Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs and food & beverage sales and service.
- Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for all guests.
- Assisting in the preparation of food in the kitchen and serving food and drinks with genuine warmth, hospitality, and pride that will influence in more sales. Suggesting enjoying dinner with us or offering a beverage or dessert as you assist with table service, ensuring a diverse and welcoming experience for all guests.
