Rapid Access Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Camden Rapid Access Service (RAS).
You will help provide a high level of day to day office support to the three RAS pathways - Urgent Community Response, Discharge to Assess and Virtual Ward - as well as contributing ideas and assisting in projects to improve and develop the service.
You will need to have the ability to work independently as well as within the team when required. You will be an approachable and friendly person who is able to work in a busy environment with a varied range of needs and demands, someone who reacts well under pressure, can be trusted to get tasks done quickly and who is capable of adapting to fast changing situation.
It is essential that that you have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to use your initiative. Previous experience of working within the NHS is desirable, but all forms of experience will be considered.
Due to the demands of the role, strong IT skills are essential, both ability using a range of software, but equally with hardware setup. Not only must you be highly capable using IT personally, but the ability to help other members of staff resolve their IT issues is equally as important.
This role is shift based working 0900-2030, 3 days per week with shifts available Monday - Saturday. Occasional Sundays. Fixed days are possible on individual agreement.
Provide administrative / office support to the RAS Multi-disciplinary teams.
To facilitate effective communication, providing and receiving information within the team and by providing timely and accurate messages and information
Exercise judgment when dealing with enquiries, analyse and resolve problems where required and within scope of role
Plan and prioritise own workload.
When required to service meetings including preparing appropriate papers and taking and transcribing minutes
Be involved in and contribute ideas to project work aimed at improving the service.
Respond quickly and effectively to staff needs and requests.
Help managed IT and related issues.
Help with the induction and set up of new staff members.
Help ensure clinical supplies are managed and ordered.
Collect and collate timely and accurate statistical data as required for auditing purposes producing reports from the data as required.

Professional Responsibilities

To be proficient and confident in the use of Microsoft packages including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Maintain the highest standards of care and service, taking responsibility not only for the support you personally provide, but also for your wider contribution to the aims of your team and the NHS as a whole.
Take responsibility for attending and participating in all mandatory and essential training to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the Trust and/or safety and wellbeing of other staff and the people for whom you provide services.
Be familiar with and comply with, Trust policies for infection prevention and control and hand hygiene in order to reduce the spread of healthcare associated infections. This will include a requirement to attend mandatory training in Infection Prevention and Control and to be compliant with all measures known to be effective in reducing healthcare-associated infections, including correct uniform and dress code policy, the use of personal protective equipment policy, safe procedures for using aseptic techniques, and safe disposal of sharps.
