Gardener

Enthusiastic gardener required for private house. To join a small team. Working in the walled garden which is approximately 2 acres, comprising fruit trees, vegetables, soft fruits, herbaceous borders, and greenhouse. A good knowledge of plants and an imagination are essential to take the garden in new directions. Experience of trees/woodland management useful. The grounds and gardens are open to the public at various times throughout the year, so high standards are expected.

Working 2 days a week, this is a part time, permanent position.
- Possess a good plant knowledge and high horticultural skills.
- Excellent timekeeping, flexibility and attention to detail.
- Must work well as part of an estate team and be able to liaise well with other estate staff and others on the Estate.
- Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
- A good level of health and fitness and a positive disposition.
- Take pride in their work.
- Discretion at all times and a respectful attitude towards the Principals and their property.
- Clean driving licence.
- Safe use of Chainsaws and PA1 & PA6 an advantage.

**Salary**: £17,440.24-£24,323.31 per year
