Rattray Early Childhood Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ECP to join the large, friendly team at Rattray Early Childhood Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to step into the profession and progress a career in childcare.

As an ECP you will work collaboratively with a team of practitioners to provide high-quality play experiences within the nursery, helping to provide excellent care and a comprehensive range of appropriate, stimulating and creative learning activities for children aged 2 - 5.

You will be contracted to work 14.4 hours per week, over 2 days, between the hours of 8.30am and 4.12pm, term time working. (The centre is open 50 weeks of the year and closes for 2 weeks over the Christmas period.)

You should hold an appropriate qualification e.g. SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People), as well as have the eligibility to register with SSSC.

You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for the Day Care of Children within 6 months of commencing employment and be responsible for maintaining your annual membership.

**The Individual**:
We are looking for an individual who has a genuine interest in, and commitment to, working with children in a professional capacity within an early learning and childcare environment.

The role is child-focussed which requires sensitivity, patience and compassion along with a welcoming approach aimed at generating a feeling of trust and safety for children and their parents/carers. A genuine interest in the development of children and their wellbeing is essential, along with important qualities such as kindness, sensitivity, nurture, respect and the ability to always maintain confidentiality.
