About the role

The Head of Special Projects is a brand new, exciting role in our expanding team. You will have responsibility for project managing the University of Southampton’s first comprehensive fundraising and engagement campaign.

You will bring together multiple stakeholders across the institution to project manage the complex campaign strands, priorities and timelines. You will be the key contact, working in partnership with the Director of Development & Alumni Relations, for the Campaign Leadership Group, various Campaign working groups and stakeholders, as well as academic leads and ODAR colleagues.

About you

Full of drive and determination, you will be an experienced project management professional with a passion for making a difference. You will have successfully led complex projects, with a proven track record for hitting deadlines and budgets. Adept at prioritising and juggling multi-faceted projects, you will also have excellent time management and attention to detail skills, able to positively influence senior members and develop and motivate all those involved in the projects.

As well as flexible working, we offer a great benefits package that includes a contributory pension scheme, generous holiday allowance of 44 days (comprising of 30 days annual leave, 8 bank holidays and 6 University Closure days), subsidised health and fitness facilities, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
