Kent and Canterbury Outpatient Therapy Service has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join its valued support workforce.

As a Therapy Assistant Practitioner in the Outpatient Therapy Service you will provide care across the professions of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and orthotics through delegation and supervision of a registered Health Care Professional.

You will work in a busy department providing care to both adults and children and young people across sub-specialities of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, hand therapy and rheumatology.
- To work autonomously and be accountable for actions and decisions.
- To recognise when it is appropriate to seek advice from a registered professional.
- Undertake assessment or further assessment of patients who require routine and protocol led care.
- Hold own delegated caseload of patients who require programmes of care within established pathways/protocols.
- Lead group activity in the gym and aquatic pool environments and with guidance contribute to the development and alteration of group programmes to meet the needs of patients and deliver evidence based interventions.
- Undertake administrative tasks, such as procurement and stock control and lead on some administration processes
- Induct new staff and students.
- Train new and less experienced support staff, providing mentorship.
- Demonstrate respect and display trust values in person centred practice.
