We are recruiting for a Sessional Youth Worker to work with young people with a range of needs supporting them to achieve positive outcomes. You will assist in the delivery of the Youth Strategy by leading the delivery of universal services including youth clubs, drop-in sessions and school holiday programmes.

You will deliver a confidential service that responds to individuals’ needs including health, personal, cultural, and emotional requirements, providing relevant information and sign-posting to other services within the neighbourhood.

The role is 12 hours per week, working Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Friday’s from mid-afternoon until early evening.

What you need to have:

- Experience of working within a young person setting
- Experience of developing 1-1 support with young people
- Knowledge of a wide variety of techniques to actively engage with young people
- Good understanding of issues effecting the lives of young people
- A clear understanding of safeguarding young people in line with the Birmingham Safeguarding Children’s Framework
