**Description**

Our client is a leading professional services company based in Oxford. As part of their commitment to strategic financial management, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Finance Director to join their dynamic team.

This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule of hybrid working. Initially 4 days per week, then in time reducing to 2 days per week.

**Responsibilities**

**Financial Strategy and Planning**:Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with company goals and objectives.
Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and contribute to decision-making processes.

**Budgeting and Forecasting**:Lead the budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate forecasting.
Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvement.

**Financial Reporting**:Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

**Cash Flow Management**:Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity.
Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and improve financial resilience.

**Financial Compliance**:Oversee compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and other statutory obligations.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

**Financial Systems and Controls**:Evaluate and enhance financial systems and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Implement best practices to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

**Team Leadership and Development**:Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in a professional services or related industry is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office suite.
