**ADM Agriculture operates from locations throughout England and offers a people-based quality service to farmers and consumers. As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM’s UK assets in milling and oil seed crushing, ADM Agriculture supply a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertiliser products.**

Role Purpose
The **Fertiliser Trader** **/ Lead on Wholesale Development** role is to trade with suppliers and price fertiliser products for Farm Traders. To develop opportunities and margin on fertiliser for wholesale sectors.

**Responsibilities**:

- To generate opportunities and margin within fertiliser wholesale sectors.
- Working with colleagues to take responsibility for day to day fertiliser trading in the absence of the Head of Fertiliser working at all times within the position parameters / trading standards set.
- Manage and develop the ADM Agriculture wholesale fertiliser business across the UK.
- To attend and assist in supplier strategy meetings with the Head of Fertiliser when required.
- To communicate both UK and global market trends to fertiliser customers and the farm trading teams
- Manage and develop business with your own customer base working within trading standards set by the Head of Fertiliser
- To hold regular meetings with farm traders and attend meetings when required.
- To work closely with the Lead on Retail development and Fertiliser Logistics & Trading Support, to allow the smooth execution of all retail and wholesale fertiliser business.
- Expand the ADM alternative fertiliser range and link to ADM regenerations programme.
- To represent the company at corporate events/shows which the business attends.
- To deal promptly and effectively with any complaints/issues as they arise.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by Line Manager.

**Your Profile**
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilise these to make correct and profitable trading decisions.
- To fully understand the contractual obligations and contracts that govern the markets that are being traded.
- To be or become FACTS qualified by Spring 2025.
- Driven and enthusiastic about growing career, taking ownerhip of personal development and opportunites
- High level of commercial awareness being focussed on making profitable business decision.s
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational and communication skills being able to converse effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills both for use on Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and bespoke systems.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to taking ownership of and fulfilment of duties
