Agricultural Consultant

Owen Farm Services is a small but growing company that provides agricultural consultancy and advisory services to farmers and landowners in Scotland and the North of England. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Agricultural Consultant to join our team and help us deliver high-quality solutions to our clients. Due to new work, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced consultant.

Duties will include:

- Delivery of technical and financial farm consultancy, including preparation of budgets and reports
- Providing advice to a range of clients in all farming types.
- Leading presentations and group facilitation.
- Helping to train and develop trainee consultants.
- Build a professional network on behalf of Owen Farm Services.
- Identify opportunities then subsequently promote and market services.
- Carry out practical elements of the job such as soil sampling.

A Degree in Agriculture or its equivalent is essential with relevant consultancy experience. Budget and staff management experience are also desirable.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- An HND, degree or equivalent qualification in agriculture, agronomy, soil science, animal science, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant work experience as an agricultural consultant, advisor, or other relevant work experience.
- A sound knowledge of Scotland and England's agricultural industry, policies, and regulations including the funding landscape.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel to different locations.
- A passion for agriculture and a commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction.
