As part of our work we work to champion the diverse organisations making up the growing renewable energy supply chain in Scotland. We are seeking a driven, self-starting Supply Chain Officer to drive our activity in supporting suppliers across the country.

Ideally you will:

- Be able to get under the skin of the challenges and opportunities that the Scottish renewable energy supply chain organisations face
- Be able to write concise, accurate, compelling copy to engage audiences in trade and mainstream media, blogs, our social channels and on our website
- Want to help our members communicate their achievements and aspirations supporting them to grow their businesses
- Have strong organisational skills and an excellent understanding of the planning and execution involved in event management
- Have a genuine desire to get involved in a growing industry which already employs over 22,660 people in Scotland and to enable the growth of the local supply chain

**Overview of the role**

Delivering the renewable energy projects we need to reduce our carbon emissions and reach our climate targets is a huge task, but one that offers enormous economic and environmental benefits.

In this role you’ll work to work to enable the growth of the Scottish renewable energy supply chain as well as to showcase its exceptional skills and expertise.

Supported by the Communications and Events teams at Scottish Renewables this role will deliver work across marketing, events, press and media and public affairs activities.

In short, you’ll work on a diverse range of initiatives promoting Scottish businesses and will have some of the brightest brains in energy behind you.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Working with the Events and Communications teams to plan, organise and deliver supply chain events including conferences, seminars, webinars and dinners
- Support the organisation of event programmes, co-ordinating speakers, managing attendees, updating websites, booking venues and catering if required
- Deliver social media and marketing activity for internal supply chain initiatives and in support of external stakeholders
- Prepare copy for supply chain social media campaigns, blogs, publications and other marketing material
- Engage with stakeholders across the industry and represent Scottish Renewables at a range of external events
- Contribute to the brainstorming of creative ideas
- Co-ordinate projects including the production of annual industry publications, events, branding activities and website development
- Any other tasks as directed by the Head of Energy Transition and Supply Chain

**Requirements**:
You will be:

- A confident, effective communicator with strong oral and written presentation skills
- A driven self-starter, able to work alone and in teams under the supervision of Scottish Renewables’ Head of Energy Transition and Supply Chain
- Experienced in the co-ordination and running of events
- A strong copywriter
- A fast learner, who can digest complex industry information
- IT literate, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and confident use of website and social media admin
- Have a knowledge of and a commitment to the growth of renewable energy in Scotland

Desirable Experience
- Experience with website administration
- Design skills - experience of photoshop/InDesign
- Google Analytics, campaign monitor experience
- Project management experience
- An understanding of procurement and supply chain practices
