Grafters recruit are looking for 7.5t drivers to join our prestigious client in Huntingdon.

*The Role:*

As a Bensons for Beds Service Delivery Driver, your day will involve heavy lifting and consist of two-person multi drop deliveries of beds and bedroom furniture from one of the Huntingdon DC to customers around the midlands and East-Anglia.

*Your key responsibilities as a Service Delivery Driver will include:*

Complete your deliveries on time, to schedule and most importantly ensuring your customers are left happy.

Be friendly and helpful throughout.

Keep your customer informed by calling ahead.

Deliver and assemble furniture.

Support an environment and culture within Bensons for Beds where the Customer is firmly at the centre of everything that you do.

Monitor the vehicle for roadworthiness and report any defects.

The Skills & Licence requirements

A UK driving licence Cat C1.

Valid driver’s CPC DQ card / valid drivers digital card.

Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle

Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs

Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience

Understanding of EU Driving legislation and tachograph law

Desirable experience of using a PDA

Please note that for insurance purposes you should be aged 18 years or over.

You will be required to undergo a DBS check which will be paid for by the client.

Rate of Pay: £13.26 Mon - Fri

Start times: Between 06:00 - 08:00

**Salary**: £13.26 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Peterborough, Cambridgeshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver CPC (preferred)
