We are proud to be recruiting for a Junior Buyer for our client within the Engineering industry and is looking to add some extra support to their team This would be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and gain further experience within the procurementarena.

The role, based in Leicestershire, would be looking for someone near the beginning of their Procurement career, ideally with at least 1-2 years+ of experience and a passion to keep developing. You would also have used Microsoft office, with experience usingsome kind of MRP/ERP system would be advantageous.

The role would look to offer some hybrid working after the initial period, as it is important for learning and development to be onsite early on.

You responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Placing orders for materials and components and ensuring details are correct
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products are ordered, delivered, stocked and ready to use
- Support and grow key suppliers through relationship building, development and negotiation
- Look for ways to continuously improve processes, plans and relationships
- Ad-hoc tasks, such as reporting data to management, stock-takes and look for current trends in the market
- Obtain and analyse quotes from suppliers
- 1-2 Years+ experience within Procurement (Assistant/Administrator/Junior Buyer etc)
- Be able to work well within a team, but also be able to work autonomously where required
- IT Proficient (Microsoft Office etc); MRP/ERP experience would be an advantageous
- Passion for learning, development and growth
- Highly organised, great at following-up and problem solving
- Great communication skills, verbal and oral
- Self-motivated
