As an Al-Hurraya Recovery Connector, you will understand the road to successful long-term recovery from drug or alcohol misuse and the challenges faced in the journey to get you there. You will understand because you will have been through it yourself, visible proof that sustained long-term recovery is possible with the right support and help.
To engage people from ethnically diverse populations who have substance misuse needs in an advocacy/mentoring relationship that, motivates people to take up substance misuse treatment, coaches them to address their physical and mental health needs, and supports them to maintain engagement with treatment and achieve positive sustainable recovery outcomes.
The post holder will always uphold the values of Al-Hurraya, be able to maintain abstinence and recovery yourself so you can champion recovery and possibility thinking - a true motivator to other service users.
**Qualifications**:
- Basic IT Skills and familiarity with basic IT packages
- Successfully completed Al-Hurraya Level 2 Mentoring Training (or working towards)
**Salary**: £22,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
