**Pay: £80 - £100 per day**

GSL Education is looking to employ a number of
**Cover Supervisors** to work across a secondary client school located in
**Hessle.**

**Major Responsibilities include**:

- Supervise classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher’s absence.
- Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
- Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Liaise with other staff members regarding work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
- Manage classroom behaviour of up to 30 pupils, ensuring students stay on task.
- Respond to any questions or queries students may have.
- Follow individual School behaviour and safeguarding policies.

**To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should**:

- Have an Education-based or Core Subject-based Degree.
- Aspire to have a career in Education, in roles such as a Pastoral Manager or Teacher.
- Be able to quickly engage and build rapport with pupils.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (full training can be provided).
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Empathize with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
