The LRF Coordiantor will act as the initial West Midlands Conurbation (WMC) Local Resilience Forum (LRF) partner focus for resilience challenges and deliver project support to the LRF Strategic Manager to ensure that the partnership is prepared to meet the resilience challenges facing the conurbation both present and future.
You will provide Critical support to, development and completion of LRF plans, policies and processes, training and exercising, risk assessments as required to maintaining effectiveness of the LRF partnership. You will provide support to the LRF Strategic Manager in progressing of the delivery of plans, training, exercising, learning through engagement within the WMC LRF partnership.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and prepare LRF plans, policies and processes in meeting present and future needs as identified through statutory responsibilities and good practise;
- Assist in the development, maintenance and review of LRF contingency arrangements/plans in relation to the WMC LRF Community Risk Register (CRR);
- Develop, deliver and review training and exercises that support and meet the WMC LRF strategic outcomes;
- Support the activities of workstreams/groups contained and who support the WMC LRF outcomes as required by LRF Strategic Manager;
- Develop, maintain and review in the overall work of the WMC LRF;
- Line manager for the LRF Tactical Officer;
- Assist the LRF Strategic Manager in the development, execution and review of relevant projects, tendering processes and schemes in delivery of the WMC LRF strategic outcomes.
**Knowledge and Experience**
- Demonstrable experience in working within the field of resilience;
- Proven record of delivery with internal and external partners in delivering the desired outcomes and building working relationships;
- Experience in managing individuals and teams;
- Experience of analysing and interpreting data and information;
- Experience in working in different environments demonstrating self-discipline, initiative and being a self-starter;
- Proven track record of working with people at all levels of an organisation and political representatives;
- Must have the capability to work from different locations (including partners locations) accross the WMC LRF geographical area. Due to the requirement to work
- flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working, public transport may not be available at these times. For this reason, a full driving licence is required.
- Experience of working within a multi-agency environment with an emphasis on resilience, business continuity, training and exercising and/or emergency planning;
- Proven ability to progress multiple workstreams/assignments with mínimal supervision.
- Relevant professional qualifications or substantial experience within the Resilience field.
- Demonstrable ability in using IT systems to produce, present, disseminate and communicate to support and inform relevant parties in the delivery of the strategic outcomes of the WMC LRF e.g. Microsoft systems (Word, Teams, Excel), Resilience Direct.
- Proven ability to collate, analyse and produce clear and concise reports both verbal and written;
- Demonstrable ability to plan and organise individuals and multi-agency teams to deliver the overall aims and objectives within a project;
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
**Desirable**
- JESIP accredited
- Debriefer qualification
- Proven ability to analyse external partners requirements and prioritise them in line with competing challenges with regard to the desire outcomes of the WMC LRF
- Experience of influencing and stakeholder management.
**Vetting**:
- Successful applicants will be required to pass Management Vetting and Security Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
**Medical**:
- Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
