General Labourer/driver

Formby Timber is looking for a yard labourer for their busy timber client based in Formby, which will include driving deliveries to our clients.

You will be expected to follow instructions from management and work efficiently to keep up the good reputation of the business. You will need excellent communication skills and will be conversing directly with customers.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

- Assist and serve customers.
- Maintain stock levels.
- Assist machinist when required.
- Driving and delivering orders.

**Requirements**:

- Physically capable of moving timber & other construction materials(essential).
- Excellent communication skills(essential).
- Flexibility to work extra hours if necessary to complete the job(essential).
- Work part of a team and work alone(essential).
- Full clean driving licence (essential).
- English and Maths at GCSE level at A-C (preferable).
- Building construction and timber products knowledge (preferable).
- Forklift and side loader driving would be advantageous (preferable)

Hours will be 40 hours per week Mon-Sat with a day off during the week for working Saturday.

A good knowledge of operating timber machinery: planer, crosscut saw, circular saw, band saw, bench and table saw (preferable).

Due to the location of the work having your own transport is preferable as there are no direct public transport links to the site.

- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
