**Location**: South East of England

**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm, or as demanded by specific projects.

**About Your New Company**:
Rand Associates conducts its core business of stock condition, health and safety, and energy assessments of housing stocks for social housing landlords across the UK from its two offices in Reigate, Surrey and Birkenhead, Wirral.

Our company ethos is to provide high quality and accurate products to our clients in a timely-fashion, enabling them to sustainably plan for the future, ensure high-level housing standards and improved customer satisfaction for their residents.

It is envisaged that the role could progress to include the completion of energy performance certificates, retrofit assessments, damp and mould surveys, asbestos surveys, fire risk assessments, and supervision of works on site.

**About You**:
Building surveying (or related discipline) HNC, HND or Degree qualification (either achieved or being worked towards). Alternatively demonstrable experience within the stock condition, domestic energy assessment or wider surveying/ construction sector.

Reporting to the building surveying department at our Reigate office you would initially be expected to support our core business of conducting stock condition and other surveys. Dependent on your geographical location you may be working remotely within your local catchment area or report directly into our Reigate office.

- External stakeholders (Clients/ Residents)

**Essential Requirements**:

- Full driving licence.
- Use of own car.
- Willing to complete criminal record check.
- A willingness for regular travel, which could include overnight stays.
- Competent using multiple systems (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- The successful applicant will be analytical, be able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Functional**:

- To work with Rand Associates building surveying department to deliver a high-quality performance within scheduled timescales.
- To assist other staff within the Building Surveying Department or wider organisation as required.
- To conduct site visits as required across the UK, primarily to help gather information on the condition of clients’ properties.
- To use our own bespoke software, or other systems as required by individual client’s.
- To use Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel to fulfil the commitments of the role.
- To undergo training to satisfy the requirements of the role, including attendance at staff development days, and external training courses.
- To be adaptable and flexible, assisting other departments within Rand Associates when required.
- To follow Rand Associates’ Codes of Conduct.

**Package/ Benefits**
- Starting Salary £22,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Car Allowance £3,600 per annum (Potential for a company car after a successful qualifying period).
