**Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;**
**To fulfil General Maintenance Works of the depot**
**To fulfil safety check of the depot**
**To order materials, and book materials out of the depot**
**Track the materials leaving the depot**
**Record all waste in and out of the depot**

**Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;**
**Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental audits and risk assessment**
**Able to understand and carry out work as set out in a specification.**
**HGV licence (not essential)**
**Use a range of power tools and equipment including a telehandler**
**Use of PDA as required**

**Formal qualifications required;**
**HGV licence (Not essential but preferred)**
**Telehandler (Not essential but preferred)**
**Forklift (Not essential but preferred)**
**Basic Microsoft experience (Excel, Word and Outlook)**

**Skills required;**
**Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental audits and risk assessment**
**Able to understand and carry out work as set out in a specification.**
**Able to participate in Winter Maintenance Activities; Loading Gritters, Navigating and driving Winter Route (If a HGV has been obtained)**

**Experience required;**
**Not essential but an understanding of construction materials**

**Knowledge;**
**To have a knowledge of how a depot works**
***
**Personal qualities;**
**Prepared to participate fully in team work**
**Prepared to work varying hours to meet the needs of the business**
**Prepared to develop and undertake relevant training and qualifications**
**Able to complete record sheets, paper or electronic**
**Able to take responsibility for plant, equipment and vehicle defect inspections**
**To understand and be responsible for their own safety and that of others**
**To be available for emergency and/or winter call outs**
**Able to manage others, taking responsibility for the organisation of specific jobs**
