Tel Lecture Capture

The School of Medicine is seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent customer service and technical skills to join their Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team. The role should appeal to anyone with interests in Technical / Classroom Support, Learning Technology Systems Administration and/or Multimedia Content Development.

Your main responsibilities will be the provision of end-to-end support for the recording of lectures and the effective administration of the School's growing library of multimedia teaching and learning resources. You will also have the opportunity to supervise and support a small number of Lecture Capture Facilitators who will assist you in this crucial work.

To excel in this role your strong verbal communication skills and comfort with IT equipment and audio-video technologies will be key. You'll engage with staff and students on a daily basis, providing exceptional support and troubleshooting technical issues. You will also need to be highly organised in order to manage a variety of tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Whether it's supporting lecture capture or helping with post capture editing and content administration, you'll be the main point of contact on whom the School will rely.

We will provide comprehensive training for the position, but if you already bring experience in customer service and working with learning technologies, you'll be well-prepared to deliver a high-quality service from day one. The university supports hybrid working and whilst there will be some opportunity for remote/home working, this role requires your presence on campus in accordance with lecture timetables to provide hands-on support for lecture capture, and so flexibility on your part will be essential.
