Trainee Surveyor

SML Group Ltd are currently looking for a Trainee Surveyor to join their successful and ever-growing team. With over 50 members of staff nationwide, SML Group Ltd is dedicated to the land, building, and valuations sectors through traditional surveying, specialist subsidence monitoring, and property data services.

The duties of a Trainee Surveyor would include a variety of surveying tasks within the mortgage and valuation industry including: Valuation Surveys, Surveying Buildings with Defects, and Monitoring Buildings with Defects. Therefore, travelling will be a large and integral part of this role and being in possession of a driving licence essential for any applicant.

We would prefer applicants with building surveying qualifications and/or experience in the property and construction industry. However, we would consider competent applicants, without the necessary qualifications/experience, who have a basic understanding of the construction industry and can demonstrate the following skills:

- Interpersonal Skills
- Punctuality especially when it comes to adhering to planned daily schedules
- Highly Motivated
- Comfortable with working alone

The salary for this position would be £20,000 - £22,000 p.a., depending on experience and based on a working week of 45 hours door-to-door.
