A leading independent marketing services business that provides sophisticated marketing collateral and print fulfilment services to organisations and leading brands across the UK is looking for a Proofreader to join their team in Huntington.

**Role Summary**:
This is an entry-level position, so prior proofreading experience is not necessary as full training will be given; however, an excellent command of the English language is essential. This is initially on a temporary basis with the potential to go permanentlater. Hours of work are Monday to Friday on a rota of 9 am to 4.30pm or 9 am to 5 pm.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Thoroughly checking PDF drafts against client-supplied content
- Correcting grammar, spelling and formatting, and fact-checking whilst adhering to their own house style

**Required Skills**:

- An excellent command of the English language
- Exceptional spelling and grammar skills
- Good IT skills - applicants must be confident in using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Outlook
- The ability to work to deadlines
- A conscientious and thorough approach to work
- A keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player attitude - applicants must be able to engage well with colleagues
- A minimum of a B grade in GCSE English
