We are looking for a confident, articulate Team Leader to join our committed and well-established Supported Living team in Eight Ash Green, Colchester.

We provide support to adults with a learning disability within their own flats or shared accommodation to live as independently as possible and to live the lives that they choose.

We are based in one location and have communal areas to offer relaxation and communal activities, depending on the needs and wants of the person being supported.

We support individuals to live their day-to-day life including supporting when they are experiencing heightened emotions or challenging behaviour. We have a Behavioural Practitioner on site to offer live positive behavioural support training.

This role will involve working alongside and supervising a team of staff. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of each shift, resolving queries and situations that may arise whilst respecting individuals’ choices and methods of communication. Tasks will include but not limited to ordering of medication, attending appointments, allocating staff, monitoring the team throughout the day and staff Supervisions and observations.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Experience in supporting individuals with a learning disability, autism and/or behaviours that challenge, you may already be in a senior role within the care industry.
- Excellent written, computer and verbal communication skills. You will be confident and keen to pick up new skills and problem solve.
- You will use a person-centred approach to support our tenants to achieve their own personal goals. Whilst providing personal and emotional support you will support their leisure activities, education and interests, which can involve being out and about in the community.
- Minimum NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent, (or working towards this qualification).
- Shifts available 0800-2300 with sleep-ins available.
- Demonstrate positive values in line with equal opportunities legislation.
- Able to promote and maintain independence, choice and respect throughout all aspects of the service.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be drivers.
