**MJ Quinn Fleet department presently operate over 1900 vehicles. The job holder will be at the forefront of our Fleet Operations, responsible for overseeing the management of our Fleet. You will lead the Fleet management strategy, drive performance, control costs and ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.**
- All aspects of Fleet Management including commercial, operations, compliance and innovation.
- Ensure full contractual and legal compliance of goods and services whilst managing suppliers to perform strictly in line with all contractual obligations.
- To be responsible for all the day-to-day operations within the Fleet department and provide support to all members of the team.

- Ensure all vehicles conform to all legal, quality, economic and environmental requirements.
- Act as the company representative for the Goods Vehicle Operators Licence; ensuring full governance and compliance
- Manage Fleet related budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and help identify both current and future cost savings.
- Review present Fleet management strategy, including vehicle sourcing and maintenance & repair models.
- Contract management of external service providers including, but not limited to, vehicle maintenance, telematics, leasing and hire Lead the commercial decision-making process relating to vehicle selection to ensure the most effective and efficient solution
- Set, manage and audit supplier SLA’s
- Deliver improvement of operational performance of the fleet, whilst minimising the operative downtime
- Seek to maximise fuel economy and management of fuel card usage and overall company activity attributed spend.
- Lead, motivate and develop the fleet management team.
- Lead on sustainability issues to help minimise the environmental impact of our fleet.
- Oversee the liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure the prompt and full recovery of any owed monies
- Lead driver road risk / driver safety programme and co-ordinate with other fleet resources
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company standards and policies.
- Manage the process of periodic audits on service maintenance and fleet compliance.
- Monitor and report on fleet performance, using data to drive improvements. Oversee the monitoring of driver conduct and vehicle roadworthiness and report accordingly to all relevant stakeholders
- Oversee the analysis and reporting of vehicle related information to help monitor and improve driver behaviour, and overall management of the Fleet.
- Review present Fleet processes and implement change where required
- Analyse and own commercial activity within the Fleet Department and advise on improvements.
- Provide advice and guidance to peers and operators on Fleet compliance issues
- Maintain and enforce Company standards throughout the Fleet department.

**Key Performance Indicators**
K.P.I.’s _are the pieces of evidence that would indicate the outcomes of the job holder’s efforts. These need to be relevant to the specific role and need to be indicators under the job holder’s direct control. _K.P.I.’s _should relate to either turnover, cost or margin, they can also be pieces of produced work, or levels of quality or maybe even actions that need to be taken in order to fulfil the job holders role._
- Hold monthly 1-2-1’s with all Fleet senior managers and record details against the company policies and processes Successful deliver training requirements against an agreed matrix
- Oversee successful resolution of existing KPI’s
- Agree, set and measure future KPI’s
- Must have held a national Certificate of professional Competence [CPC] for at least 5 years’
- Evidence of strong commercial management experience within a Fleet operation
- Proven track record of developing a Fleet strategy
- Strong IT skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Detailed knowledge of Operators licence compliance including: Driver’s hours and record keeping, maintenance of vehicles, overload prevention and Driver management.
- Experienced in the management of vans and associated regulations
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies.
- Proven ability to achieve best value.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
