**Here at Spencer Clarke Group we are currnently hiring for mutliple mini bus drivers for east riding of yorkshire council.**

**As the mini bus driver, you will be tasked with**:

- Collecting and returning pupils or clients of the department to and from their homes (or other designated point) and transport them to various centres or schools via a predetermined route.Sensible or necessary deviations to the route may occasionallybe required.
- Carry out such driving (or assisting) duties as directed or specified in a safe and courteous manner towards pupils/clients, parents, colleagues, supervisors and other road users.
- Wearing such uniforms as may be provided and to be of smart appearance at all times.
- Ensuring all passengers are carried safely.To make proper use of wheelchair securing devises in accordance with departmental guidelines and training.
- Ensuring the vehicle is safe and carry out routine daily checks.Maintain tyre pressures, oil and water levels in accordance with instructions and ensure the vehicle is adequately fuelled, using the facilities provided.
- Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle.When returning a ‘spare’ vehicle to it’s base it must be cleaned, fuelled, etc., ready for immediate use.Any wheelchair securing devises should be left on the vehicle.
- Maintaining appropriate records in connection with the use of the vehicles, such as log sheets, defect reports, etc.
- Providing necessary assistance, support and encouragement to pupils/clients to ensure their safe entry and exit from the vehicle, including any operation of the vehicle tail lift.The lift should be operated by the driver and passenger assistant, workingtogether as a team.
- Centring based drivers may be called upon to assist with the personal needs (not intimate personal care) of clients and involvement in social activities is also expected.
- Any duties and responsibilities appropriate to the grade and level of responsibility of the post.

**The ideal stores assistant will have**:

- endhance DBS
- previous experience driving mini bus vehicles or similar

**What’s on offer;**

The core hours are between 06:00-18:00 averying around 39 per work overtime may be required.

the role is paying £12.50 per hour.
