**Headquarters South-West (HQSW) formed as a stand-alone Regional Point of Command (RPoC) on 01 September 2016 and comprises of a fully coordinated staff including regular army, civil service, Full Time Reservists (FTRS) and part time Reservists. Together we look after the Army’s interests in the seven counties of the south-west including the Isles of Scilly and Channel Islands. Cantered around the Four Pillars of ‘UK (United Kingdom) Operations’ ‘The Firm Base’ ‘Engagement’ and ‘Cadets,’ the breadth of our responsibilities is wide and varied, from assurance of the Field Army to response and command of UK Resilience Operations, all tasks that underpin the success of our Army on operations. Finally, our largest annual output is the delivery of the largest outdoor youth activity in the UK, Ten Tors.**
**Job description**:
**An opportunity has arisen for a AO Discipline Clerk to join a team of five within Headquarters South West**
**We are looking for someone who is methodical and proactive in their approach with the ability to work independently, manage own workload, prioritise where needed and good interpersonal skills.**

**The clerk will help in the smooth running of the Office, the post will provide specialist clerical support to the Higher Executive Officer (HEO)often dealing with sensitive material to also include; ensuring information on disciplinary cases is current and up to date, photocopying, labelling and distributing casework documentation.**
**Person specification**:
**Provide Bde level weekly assurance of information entered onto Joint Personnel Administration (JPA) by the Units in accordance with Casework Assurance check sheets. Monitor and where necessary enter data onto JPA using external correspondence received from agencies. Provide advice and support to unit on JPA and discipline related issues.**
**Assure Warning and Sanctions case files once received from units ensuring compliance with check sheets prior to sending to Casework Assurance for case closure.**
**Open and maintain confidential hard copy and JPA case files for all Service Law, Warnings and Sanctions, Service Complaints and ACF cases held within HQ SW.**
**Manage and maintain the Discipline electronic and paper filing system and management of the Group Mailbox.**
**Produce Discharge packs ensuring Unit has met the accurate requirements for discharge, for Commander Southwest to approve prior to sending to DM(A) for final authority.**
**Undertake any other tasks related to post as advised by team.**
