We are currently recruiting for an IT Director to work Days Monday-Friday working for a leading distributor of surfaces including worktops, wall panelling and flooring, at their Newcastle under Lyme Head Office. Benefits to include a generous bonus schemeand car allowance.
The newly created IT Director position is a permanent role working Monday - Friday (40hrs per week) 8am-5pm on a salary of up to £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + annual bonus
As IT Director, you will lead and manage all IT activities for 18 sites across the UK, ensuring an effective IT and telephony infrastructure for the business. **Your key duties will include**:

- Lead and manage all IT activities across the business - approx. 18 sites
- Management of a small team of 3 colleagues (Helpdesk Manager, Support Manager and Reporting Analyst)
- Oversee all technology operations
- Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by management
- Develop and control IT annual budget - in excess of £1million
- Facilitate IT security audits or investigations
- Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
- Understand the Company’s IT security programs and be able to identify and prevent Cyber security risks
- Management of outsourced IT companies

**We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience**:

- 5 years’ minimum senior management experience, IT Director or similar role
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and specifications
- Strong track record of IT Change & Transformation (people, processes and systems)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of computer systems (hardware / software) networks etc
- Experience of Microsoft 365 and Power BI
- Experience in controlling IT budget
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with senior colleagues
- Agile, strategic, as well as a good leader and communicator across all levels of the business.
- Drive to deliver high quality service, improve systems, and security across the business

**Qualifications required**:

- Full UK driving license
- BSc/ BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; MSc/ MA will be a bonus
- 5 A-C GCSEs, particularly numeracy and literacy, or equivalent management
