**Responsibilities**:

- **Assisting Residents**: Providing assistance to residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- **Mobility Support**: Assisting residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate lifting and moving techniques as necessary.
- **Medication Management**: Supporting residents with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate recording and documentation.
- **Personal Care**: Providing personal care and hygiene support to residents with dignity and respect, maintaining their privacy and confidentiality.
- **Monitoring Health**: Observing and monitoring residents' physical and mental health, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff members.
- **Emotional Support**: Offering emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in social activities and conversations.
- **Safety Measures**: Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents by following health and safety protocols, including infection control measures.
- **Documentation**: Maintaining accurate records and documentation of care provided, including daily care charts, incident reports, and communication logs.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and therapists, to ensure holistic care for residents.
- **Training and Development**: Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices and regulations.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Experience**: Prior experience working in a care home or similar healthcare setting is desirable but not always essential.
- **Compassion and Empathy**: A caring and compassionate nature, with the ability to empathize with the needs of elderly or vulnerable individuals.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment.
- **Reliability and Flexibility**: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and flexibility in adapting to changing schedules and resident needs.
- **Physical Fitness**: Good physical health and fitness, as the role may involve lifting and assisting residents with mobility.
- **Understanding of Safeguarding**: Awareness of safeguarding principles and procedures to protect the welfare of vulnerable adults.

**Additional Requirements**:

- **Background Check**: Successful completion of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- **References**: Providing satisfactory references from previous employers or educational institutions.
- **Health Clearance**: Providing evidence of good physical and mental health, including immunization status and screening for communicable diseases.
- **Training**: Completion of mandatory training courses, including health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding adults.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.00-£22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
