If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you We’re looking for a Textiles Buyer to join our specialist team on a 12 month fixed term contract, on a hybrid basis at our Head office in Colwick, Nottingham.
Hillarys is part of the Hunter Douglas group of companies, so this is a unique chance to work on diverse product launch projects across the group, providing exposure to international brands, working collaboratively across the business and the opportunity to work on various product launch portfolios.
**As our Textiles Buyer, here’s what you’ll be doing**
**Building strong supplier relationships**:As a Textiles buyer, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, owning relationships with suppliers across the world. You’ll work on new product development briefs, aligning commercial details such as lead times and minimum order quantities. Your goal is to ensure that suppliers meet their Service Level Agreements, providing feedback when products don’t meeting testing requirements and when they are successfully implemented into our new ranges
**Collaborating with the Product Team**:You’ll work closely with our Product team to develop supplier briefs on our new collections, such as our capsule collections, or supporting our senior team with more high profile product ranges.
**Managing sampling book requirements**: You’ll be responsible for briefing in our sampling book requirements, ensuring we have the right materials and information for our product launches.
**Stock management**:Working hand in hand with our stock controllers, you’ll ensure the correct quantity of stock is briefed for our new collections, helping maintain our high standards of quality and availability.
**Here’s what we’re looking for**:
- Experience in direct buying, with an interest in the home têxtiles industry and finished goods
- Great communication skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to negotiate effectively and influence outcomes is crucial to the success of this role
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to understand numbers and be able to translate these into actionable decisions
- Experience in managing contracts
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, being able to adapt and prioritize effectively
