Automotive Prepper

Igloo is excited to be recruiting for an outstanding opportunity for an Automotive Prepper to join our team at a brand new and purpose-built automotive bodyshop in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

**The Role**:
As an Automotive Prepper, you will be a key player in ensuring the vehicles receive meticulous preparation before painting. Your responsibilities will include:
**Full Vehicle Preparation**: Execute comprehensive preparation tasks to ensure the optimal condition of vehicles before the painting process.

**Body Panel Repair**: Perform small to medium filler work to repair body panels, demonstrating precision and attention to detail.

**Sanding**: Skilfully sand down panels to create a smooth surface, enhancing the quality of the final paint finish.

**Masking and Bagging**: Employ precision in bagging and masking vehicles to expose only the necessary areas for painting, ensuring a seamless finish.

**Individual Part Prepping**: Prepare individual parts and panels, such as bumpers and bonnets, including sanding, priming, and arranging them on racks for paint sprayers.

**Collaboration**: Work on a range of vehicles, from small family cars to light commercial vehicles, and support the bodyshop team in other departments as required.

**Time Management**: Plan and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines, contributing to the overall efficiency of the workshop.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
**Previous Experience**: Proven experience in a similar role as a vehicle prepper, showcasing your expertise in vehicle preparation.

**Driving Licence**: Hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence to facilitate flexibility in tasks and responsibilities.
