**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

We are looking to hire an experienced credit controller to expertly manage the debts of Nimbus. As a credit controller, you will be responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger, and providing administrative support.

To ensure success as a credit controller, you should have a good eye for detail and the ability to reconcile complex company accounts. Ultimately, a top-class credit controller can maximize company profits by efficiently managing its debts.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities of a Credit Controller include, but are not limited to**:

- Complete credit control duties.
- Ability to build strong relations with clients to ensure excellent client service
- General support and assistance to the team as required by the Client Success Manager**.**:

- Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.
- Negotiating payment plan types to annuals where relevant.
- Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
- Responding to client inquiries within the SLA timescales.
- Agreeing payment terms and conditions with clients on credit arrangements
- Managing internal and external debt payment questions and enquiries.
- Ensuring payments are on track to be paid within the agreed terms.
- Negotiating fair repayment plans with clients who are struggling to pay their debts.
- Creating weekly debtor reports and account information for internal departments.
- Keeping detailed records of collection activities and conversations.

**Skills and Experience Required for Credit Controller**:

- AAT qualification or qualification by experience.
- A strong understanding of the property sector with a minimum of 2 years of experience essential.
- At least 1 year’s previous credit control experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Excellent organisation skills - well-organised with a proven ability to multitask.
- Hardworking with an excellent work ethic.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups.
- Flexibility, a team player with the ability to work independently when required.
