Maintenance / Handyman

We are a small care home based in Port Talbot looking for a general maintenance handyman to join initially on a part-time basis which might lead to a full-time role.

The successful applicant will be motivated, self-driven and organized with attention to detail. You will have proven experience working within the field of maintenance & repairs and be able to:

- Conduct general maintenance inside and out and constantly keep on top of the fabric of the building and the grounds.
- Have basic knowledge, familiarity and experience in plumbing/carpentry/electrics/decorating etc.
- Action identified defects to appliances, equipment and furniture
- Test fire alarm system, maintain water temperature records and maintenance logs
- Work on your own initiative
- Assist with other duties as and when required

You must have your own transport as you will need to pick up items on a regular basis. Mileage is paid. You also need to have your own tools and equipment required to carry out the job. Ideally, you would also have care home experience.
