**The Home**

Rosevale Lodge Care Home is a purpose built nursing and residential home situated next to the River Lagan and close to Lisburn Town centre with access to local shops as well as bus and train services. It caters for up to 68 residents living with Dementia. They have two units that are separated into Dementia Nursing and Dementia Residential. Rosevale Lodge Care Home has a long-standing reputation for the delivery of high-quality care in the local community. They endeavour to maintain the personal dignity and individuality of residents and you can be sure of a warm welcome when visiting.

**The Role**

**Rosevale Lodge currently require full-time Care Assistants for day and night shifts.**

Care Assistants at Healthcare Ireland play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our Homes, providing essential support and assistance to residents to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. Care Assistants are part of our frontline team, responsible for delivering person-centred care and assistance with activities of daily living.

Our Care Assistants also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of residents.

Collaborating with Nurses, the Wellbeing Team, families and external healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and tailored care, Care Assistants are essential in our mission to provide excellent care.

**About The Role**

**Main Responsibilities**
- Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
- Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved.
- Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet.
- Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.

**Required Criteria**
- To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
- A good standard of written and oral English
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Be NISCC registered or eligible to register

**Desired Criteria**
- Qualifications in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Previous experience within a care setting Educated to NVQ 2 level is desirable
