**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Make recommendations on ways to improve employee efficiency and reduce costs.
- To control and reduce production costs with the shopfloor areas.
- Nurtures cooperation and communication within their team and other departments.
- Demonstrate creativity and diversity to deliver excellent customer service and achieve positive outcomes in line with the Company’s mission, vision and values.
- Setting the direction of the department which is aligned to the overall company strategy, as set by the directors. Have a clear vision of what your department needs to look like, and this vision is then articulated well to your department and have plans in place to enact it.
- Create and maintain a team environment culture and conductive communications within the department and cross-functional departments.
- Liaise and work closely with senior management to deliver scheduled orders and achieve delivery plans.
- Working with the People and Culture Business Partner on employee relations matters.

**Experience, Knowledge, Educational and Work Achievements**:

- Previous experience in Manufacturing (Nuclear and Aerospace is desirable)
- Experience managing the daily and weekly production of a busy department.
- Able to demonstrate an excellent record of successful project planning and execution. **(Desirable)**:

- Excellent leadership, organisational skills and the ability to multitask, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience of managing people issues effectively together with a high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
- Worked in a fast-paced environment - target driven and customer focused.
- Have previously worked with EFACS **(Desirable)**:

- Awareness/knowledge of Health & Safety standards **(Desirable)**
