Prospero Health and Social Care are searching for a Deputy Manager for a 5-bedded home caring for young people between the ages of 11-16 with EBD in Herham, Surrey. The role will be to assist in the overall management in the home and deputise for the RegisteredManager to create a safe and nurturing environment for the young people that live in the home.

We are looking for someone that has experience managing a team of staff in a residential home for children either as a Senior / Team Leade or as a Deputy Manager. This is an established provider of children's residential care and education in Surrey witha good reputation in the sector.

**Requirements**:

- Experience within a Children's Residential home (3 years+)
- A QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification. (required)
- Management experience either as a Deputy Manager or as a Team Leader in the care sector (Mental Health, Supported Living, Children's Residential)
- A resilient and conscientious personality
- Full Driver with access to a vehicle

**Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Registered Manager ensuring that the standards of the home meet OFSTED guidelines.
- Demonstrate Leadership and management experience needed to delegate effectively
- Ensuring the motivation and morale of the children and staff team
- Building links to the community working with schools, social workers and the community at large
- Have a role in the recruitment process including sitting in on interviews
- To ensure that Health and Safety policies/ legislation is consistently followed, risk assessments are regularly and promptly updated and ensure the service is safe, compliant and effective
- Be responsible for the service when the Registered Manager is absent

**Shift Pattern**

Shifts typically start between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish between 16:00 and 18:00 with some out of hours responsibilities which is shared between the staff at the home.

**Package**:
We are looking to offer a competitive salary of £35,000 with potential for progression.
