Pendle Polymer Engineering are engaged in the design and manufacture of anti-vibrations solutions and engineered rubber products for global transport and industry.

We would like to recruit toolmakers or engineers with experience using CNC lathes, 3 axis machining centres and spark erosion machines to manufacture moulding tools, jigs and fixtures for use within the factory.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, an aptitude for mathematics, and a keen eye for detail. The role has a high level of autonomy and would suit an ambitious and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills working as part of a team.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Manufacture of moulding tools, jigs and fixtures.
- Maintenance and repair of existing tooling.
- Interpreting engineering drawings to program CNC machine tools
- Using CAD and CAM software as part of the manufacturing process
- Manufacturing copper electrodes and operating CNC spark erosion machines
- Liaising with suppliers to order tool steel and cutting tools.
- Operate and maintain machinery.
- Follow safety protocols when operating machinery.
- Perform basic maintenance on machines.
- Set up and adjust machines to meet specifications.
- Create and test prototypes of tools and components.
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with co-workers and managers.
- Operate equipment according to company procedures.
- Be able to work without supervision.
- Be familiar with regulatory requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £17.50-£22.00 per hour
