Role purpose: Shift team leader and relief fryer, to provide a friendly, exceptional quality take away food service to holidaymakers and local customers.
**Hours**
- Lunchtime, evenings & weekend
- Hours Required Approx. 40 hours per week frying.
- Additional hours for covering other shifts in the event of staff sickness/holiday will be required on an add hoc basis
**Pay Rate Negotiable Dependent on Experience**
**Must be 18 Years +**
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee, and actively participate in, the production of all fish & chip shop products.
- Quality control ensuring products are cooked fresh to order and of the highest standard.
- Assisting with food preparation, fish cutting, potato prep, defrosting and
- Managing critical portion control during prep and at point of customer order fullfillment
- Ensure team takes orders in a timely manner and make recommendations that meet the needs of the customer and fulfil orders accurately.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the products.
- Ensure all public and kitchen areas are cleaned and food hygiene meets high 5 star EHO standards.
- Work well with the team, motivating them to provide excellent customer service, leading by example.
- Step in to resolve any complaints, where necessary, in a polite, empathetic and calm manner, ensuring customers are delighted at the outcome
- Monitor stock levels, rotating and liaise with suppliers to ensure sufficient stock is available and quality is checked
- Cashing up and till closing tasks are performed at the end of shifts.
- Good with time management and punctuality
**Required experience**:
- No formal education required but any training would be advantageous.
- Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
- Must have good understanding of SFBB, HACCP, COSSH & Health & Safety
- Has knowledge of procedures on food allergens
- At least 1-2 years proven experience relief frying 1st class quality product at high volumes
**Training**:
The company will provide you induction training on:
- Mandatory induction to make sure you have read and fully understand the health and safety, food hygiene and various advisory charts around the premises.
- Whistlers’ preparation and portion control techniques as these may vary.
- Range familiarization for frying and oil management.
Attend various training sessions, some are legal requirements like First Aid and Hygiene Certification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £8.51-£12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
