**Steelworks Estimator**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator based in Essex.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can use their own initiative to prioritise tasks to effectively complete tasks in the required deadlines. You will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial activities across a diverse range of projects, maximising value, margin, and market share and collaborating with Directors and Quantity Surveyors on contractual matters.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertake estimates from clients.
- Liaising on multiple Steelworks projects.
- Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process.
- Return Tender prices using pricing schedules.
- Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic, and business issues.
- Manage the handover process (to Operations) for all secured opportunities.
- Interface with all parts of business as necessary for the completion of bids and proposals.
- Perform a review of win and loss opportunities to ensure key lessons are learned.
- Reviewing trends and carrying out data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify, agree, and deliver on key performance indicators for the Role.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in Steelwork estimating (5 years minimum)
- Previous experience working on steelwork projects.
- Structural & architectural estimating experience essential.
- Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Contractual awareness.
- Experience of preparing Extension of Time and loss & expense claims.
- Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be decisive in judgements.
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate as part of a team.
