**JOB DESCRIPTION**:Front of House Team Member (Bar Person)

**Responsible to**:Bar Supervisor and through them the Board of
Management.

Responsible for the provision of efficient and courteous bar/catering and related services to members and visitors, with specialisation in the bar/catering and competencies in the halfway hut areas on completion of training.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
**Bar/Catering (main area of specialisation)**

1. Serving alcoholic drinks at the bar to members and bona fide visitors only during the Company’s licensing hours.

2. Undertaking the tasks described in the Bar Operating Procedures Manual in a timely and efficient manner.

3. Maintaining bar stocks in accordance with the policy laid down by the Company.

4. Maintaining tables and bar equipment in clean and good working order.

5. Co-operating where appropriate with the Catering team in promoting the sale of food and taking orders for food at the bar

6. Working with the catering team to undertake such duties as may reasonably be required across clubhouse and halfway hut operations.

7. Assisting the management with the promotion of social events to include the sale of tickets over the bar.

**General**
8. Ensuring that proper standards of health & safety at work are maintained, and that the procedures for the safe operation of the Club’s equipment are followed at all times.

9. Ensuring that when at work you are suitably dressed.

10. To be fully conversant with the Club Rules and Policies regarding Visitors, Societies and Members.

11. Accounting daily for all takings, providing analysis thereof as required by the Bar Supervisor.

12. Recording waste foods, drinks and materials in the proper manner as directed by the Bar Supervisor.

13. Reporting immediately to the Bar Supervisor any deficiency in cleanliness, damage or necessary repairs to the facilities of the Club.

14. Acting as a key holder for the Clubhouse, being responsible for locking up as directed by the Bar Supervisor, at times as laid down by the Company.

15. Generally assisting the Bar Supervisor in any other aspects as may reasonably be requested.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £9.90-£12.00 per hour
