Barnardo's and Amazon have joined together in partnership to support and transform the lives of young people who are not in education, employment or training. The aim of the programme is to equip young people 18-29 with the skills, confidence and ambition to pursue their goals of finding employment, apprenticeships or further education and training. Amazon are offering real employment opportunities and the young people we are supporting will be invited to apply, interview and work for Amazon and other destinations.

The project worker will provide a pivotal role to the development of the Barnardo's programme in the Crystal Palace area. Working with seldom heard young people this role focuses will deliver a 8-week motivational programme focussing on employability skills, confidence and self-esteem work.

You will work with young people to assertively and creatively engage with hard-to-reach young people. The project worker will lead and develop the work in this area and will be responsible for providing quality information, advice and guidance.

You will be responsible for contributing to, devising and developing schemes of work, session plans and resources to meet requirements to equip young people with the personal social and development skills, motivation, confidence and employability skills to progress into and sustain employment and/or further education/training.

You will be responsible for supporting young people to access employment opportunities and supporting service users to apply, prepare for and sustain this employment.

The post holder will be responsible for liaising with other Barnardo's services and agencies to access additional supportive services for service users where required.

This post will involve travelling around the Crystal Palace area.

**Key Experience/Qualifications Required**:

- Experience of working with NEET/ Care Leavers young people aged 18-29.
- Experience or 1:1 work with young people.
- Delivery of employability and personal and social development in group sessions.
- Excellent local knowledge of the Tilbury area and organisations within it
- Level 3/4 PTTLS/DTTLS (desirable).
- Links with employers (desirable).
- Experience and knowledge of safeguarding.
