The post holder will, along with the Corporate Governance Team, provide a comprehensive corporate governance support service. The post holder will facilitate the delivery of all the corporate governance meetings, seminars and committees.

Key Relationships

The post holder will have regular contact with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff, from across both hospital sites, and in addition work closely with colleagues in clinical governance, corporate governance, and the communications and charity teams.
- Provide administration support (including taking the minutes) to Governors meetings and sub-committee meetings.
- Support the Corporate Governance Team to develop meeting schedules, work plans and effectiveness reviews for the Board and the Council of Governors and its relevant committees.
- To facilitate and deliver all meetings of the Council of Governors and its committees
- Manage with the support from Communications team the Corporate Governance & Membership intranet and internet pages, including the maintenance of secure websites for the Board and Council of Governors.
- To contact Governors and Board Directors to arrange and rearrange meetings.
- Manage the maintenance of the membership database and analyse membership data to produce reports on membership demographics. This should be in line with internal and external statutory requirements for reporting.
- Manage the Declarations of Interest Database working with HR and ensuring that the required staff are submitting a declaration.
- In conjunction with the Corporate Governance Team organise the Annual Members Meetings, Medical lectures and any other membership events.
- Support in yearly election processes.
- Support in producing promotional materials.
- prioritise own tasks, exercising a degree of independence, initiative and judgement. Assess situations, identify and resolve potential problems within own skill set. Refer and seek guidance on issues outside of post holder’s level of competency.

- Arranging meetings, hospitality, venues, distributing agenda/notes
- Create and Maintain Databases/Spreadsheets
- Maintain databases

- Provide cover for other members of the team.
