Role - Production Inspector

Location - Knowsley

Salary - £24,000 - £28,000

Overtime available

This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Inspector to join a well established engineering company based in Knowsleyt.

This market leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and transportation.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Responsible for quality of work and level of production
- Inspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been carried out correctly and to verify that your own work has met the required standards
- Good housekeeping of own work area and contribute to the 5S improvements of the working environment
- Become familiar with the “check -work-check” process and be committed to a “right first time” approach to all tasks carried out
- Wear personal protective equipment provided by the company

**Qualifications, experience and skills**:

- Experienced in using a full range of measuring & inspection equipment (micrometers, height gauges, profilometers, optical flats.)
- Experience in carrying out hardness testing would be a benefit
- Previous experience of engineering finishing methods (grinding, lapping, honing) would be of benefit
- Ability to work accurately with a concern for quality
- A good communicator

**Salary / package**:

- Pension - match contribution from 4% - 10%
- Life Assurance - 2 x annual salary rising to 4 x if join Company pension

- An entitlement to full pay whilst off sick for a limited number of days (in addition to your statutory sick pay entitlement)
