A successful and friendly engineering/manufacturing company is looking for an enthusiastic Software Developer to join and strengthen the existing team. You will be assisting with the delivery of software for construction, design, and manufacturing systems,in line with the company’s strategy of working on projects from concept through to completion and maintenance.
The IT Department provides information technology systems and support to all divisions within the company providing products for the UK construction and manufacturing industries.
**This is an office-based role so please ensure you are within a suitable commuting distance of Oldbury before applying.**
**As a Software Developer, your responsibilities will include**:
- Designing, developing and supporting software to business requirements, specification standards and quality
- Database administration duties including maintenance and design
- Producing documentation to the required standards and quality
- Supporting system integration testing including input into test planning
**We are looking for a Software Developer who has the following skills and experiences**:
- Extensive relevant industry experience (preferably manufacturing or construction design experience)
- Be educated to degree level in Computer Science or Software Development
- Extensive programming experience including C#,.NET Framework, Delphi, Java and JavaScript, WPF, XAML, WVVM and Database development and design knowledge using SQL
- Ability to communicate systems and software development to users at all levels
- Attention to detail, accuracy and mathematical analysis
- Must be eligible and able to prove you can work in the UK.
If you have the relevant skills as well as experience within manufacturing/construction or similar, then this is the role for you
